On World Press Freedom Day, please join the Embassy of Sweden, International Women’s Media Foundation and National Democratic Institute as we celebrate this year’s Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award. The award, presented by the IWMF, honors the life and work of late AP photographer Anja Niedringhaus. Established in 2014 by an endowment from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the award is given annually to a woman photojournalist whose work inspires us to take action and compels us to better understand the world. The award ceremony will be livestreamed from House of Sweden.
