House of Sweden in Washington D.C. has become a spectacular landmark on the shores of the Potomac River in the heart of Georgetown. It is a unique meeting place in the United States for promoting mutual Swedish and American interests.

House of Sweden was inaugurated in October 2006 and is home to the Embassy of Sweden and the Embassy of Iceland. The building also has an Event Center that features conference and exhibition halls. House of Sweden is open to the public on weekends between 12 pm - 5 pm. All visitors are required to present a valid, government-issued photo ID (children are exempted) and go through security upon entering the building.
