High-Level Forum: Transforming Healthcare Challenges Into Opportunities
High-level forum discussion on how to transform healthcare challenges into opportunities with experiences from cancer care, elderly care and telehealth. Participating speakers included Ms. Lena Hallengren, Sweden’s Minister for Health and Social Affairs, and Ms. Loyce Pace, Director, Office of Global Affairs at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The forum was co-hosted by the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C., Consulate General of Sweden in NY, Swecare Foundation, and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC-DC).

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, public health is on everyone’s mind. Strategies for successfully combating the virus are developed alongside plans for how to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on our healthcare systems and societies. There is now a unique opportunity to redefine healthcare and move toward more personalized and patient-centered care, where the use of modern technologies, precision medicine, and AI can help increase accessibility and improve results.
